Out of town extravagance

Located around 1.5 kilometres away from the nearest commercial building in Talbot, this ruin may have been a hotel, or perhaps an extravagant home. The upper part of the chimney hints at the height and style of the missing roof. Sheep graze in the background. The site does not appear to be heritage listed.

UPDATE: This is Richmond House, a home which was destroyed by bushfire in 1985. Burn marks are visible near the foundations. A long beam above the lower floor doorway and windows shows where the verandah used to be.
